We here at The Campaign for Stuyvesant were saddened to learn of the death of actor/activist Ron Silver '63, on March 15 of this year.

Ron starred in the acclaimed films Silkwood, Reversal of Fortune, and Ali, among many others, and had a recurring role on the hit TV series, The West Wing. He was also a very accomplished stage actor, winning a Tony and a Drama Desk Award in 1988 for his performance in David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow.

Ron was an outspoken political activist who served for many years as president of Actors' Equity and co-founded the Creative Coalition.

We offer his friends and family our deepest sympathies.
